our journey begins

You know that feeling of discontentment? Or maybe it’s too much contentedness. That feeling down deep like you need to take a leap of faith and just step out of the box?

I felt that stirring. That longing to do something not just for myself but to benefit others in some small way. To know that I gave the effort to do even the tiniest bit of good for someone, somewhere.

I have been creating invitations, doing graphic work for people for several years now. I love the creativity involved but hate that I kept measuring my worth, my work's worth, with the monetary gain. I'm tired of being driven by profit. I just can't get excited about the work anymore if I'm just trying to store up riches.

Matthew 6:24 says, "No one can serve two masters, for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and money."

Cause what good is the grind when the grind's not used for good? For God?

Early one bright and sunny Sunday morning I was running late for church, as usual. Thoughts swirling in my brain.  I sent these thoughts to my best friend, the one who has been there long before the marriages, the babies, the jobs.

I sent her a surprising proposal.

“I have a project for us.”

I expected her to shoot me down. We both are honestly already at maximum capacity, as most women are. Husbands, children, jobs, volunteer work, clubs, church, teaching Sunday School and the list goes on. The last thing we need is more on our already crowded plate.

“Ok”

I was reminded why I loved her so. She doesn't bombard with questions. She’s there. She’s ready. She’s willing. Little did I know that God had been nudging her, knocking at the door and whispering to her that He needed her, as well.

I began to express my mission and vision and she replied the words that sealed the deal and set this freight train on it’s tracks.

“I was hoping you were going to say that.”

She deep down expected it. God had given us the same vision. My mission is hers and hers is yours and ours is God’s.

Ashley had a special verse on her heart while pondering what to call our project.

“For there is no difference between Jew and Gentile- the same Lord is Lord of all and richly blesses all who call on Him.”  Romans 10:12

We are all cut from the Same Cloth.

And here our mission for ministry begins.

To encourage women in their walks with Christ as we journey in our own walk. To raise awareness and funds for non profits who are in need of help to keep their ministry alive and well. To inspire others to find a cause that touches their heart so much that they can’t help but get involved and make a difference.

We are just two sisters in Christ with a passion to serve Him and His people as best we can.

Won’t you join us on this journey? We ask for your prayers over this project. Pray that God leads us to the charities who need us, need you, need this community of faith.
